MCS produces a wide range of Couplers, Hybrids and Magic Tee’s. As with any device in this catalog if you don’t see the particular device you require we will design it!
Couplers
- Loop Couplers – Excellent for RF power monitoring and signal injection. Often used to measure receive power and loop back LNA testing in satellite antenna systems. Has good performance between coaxial connectors at 50 MHz. Slightly higher cost than the crossguide type. Coupling values of 35 thru 50 db.
- Crossguide Couplers – High power device with higher directivity than the loop couplers. Lowest cost of the three types. Coupling values of 20 thru 50 db.
- Broadwall Couplers – The highest performance coupler available. Capable of operating over the full waveguide bandwidth with high directivity and flat coupling. Highest cost coupler that is typically used for precision testing applications, applications requiring a wide operating bandwidth or couplers with lower coupling values than 20 db. Coupling values of 3 thru 50 db.
Hybrids
- Coupling device were power is split between two output ports. Capable of high power handling. Will operate as a power divider or power combiner.
Magic TEE
- Similar in operation to the Hybrid with wider bandwidth and more compact device.
